About the Windows warning — this is normal, and it is not a virus. The first time you run the installer, Windows will show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen. That is Microsoft’s SmartScreen filter, and it appears for any installer that has not been code-signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway, and the install continues as normal. Code signing is being arranged and the warning will go away in a future release.

What It Is
A direct, playable synth built for writing and sound design at speed.
REXALTUS keeps the core of the instrument in front of you at all times. Oscillator shaping, wavetable tone, filter movement, envelopes, LFOs, modulation routing, arpeggiator settings, and master effects all sit on a single screen for faster decisions.
The current release ships with 248 factory presets, including the EX preset series, and a sound engine built around two oscillators, subtractive and wavetable shaping, multimode filtering, amp and mod envelopes, two sync-capable LFOs, six modulation slots, an arpeggiator, built-in effects, three wavetable banks holding 24 built-in tables plus a drawable custom table, and preset interpolation for evolving from one sound to another over time.

Built-in arpeggiator, 248 factory presets including the EX preset series, and user preset save/load make it fast to sketch ideas and return to exact sounds later.
Preset Interpolation
A new interpolation feature lets REXALTUS morph between one preset sound and another over time, opening up longer evolving transitions and more animated performance movement.
Effects
Distortion, chorus, delay, reverb, and output level control help patches land closer to release-ready without immediately reaching for extra plugins.
Visual Feedback
Envelope, LFO, and waveform displays make patch movement easier to read while editing, so modulation decisions feel more deliberate and less guesswork-driven. A live wavetable scope shows the exact waveform each oscillator is playing as you sweep through a wavetable.
Expansion Ready
The first expansion pack, Cinematic Motion Vol. 1, is available now as a free download, with more in development. REXALTUS 0.6.0 and later already include everything needed to use them: install a pack and its content appears automatically in the preset browser and the wavetable list, with no extra setup.

Important Release Notes

Installing is a drop-folder step: unzip the pack into your REXALTUS
Expansions folder and it appears in the plugin. Full instructions below.
How To Install
REXALTUS uses a drop-folder install for expansion packs. There is no installer to run — the plugin scans the Expansions folder and picks up whatever it finds there.
- Open
Documents\REXALTUS\Expansions. If the folder does not exist yet, create it. -
Unzip
Rexaltus Cinematic Motion Vol 1.zipinto that folder, so the pack's own folder is copied across intact. You can also unzip it anywhere and copy the folder in afterwards. - Restart your DAW, or reload REXALTUS, and the presets and wavetables appear in the browser alongside the factory content.
The result should look like this, with pack.json one level inside the
Expansions folder:
Documents\REXALTUS\Expansions\Rexaltus Cinematic Motion Vol 1\pack.json
The nesting matters. If you extract the contents of the ZIP rather than the
folder itself, pack.json ends up directly inside
Expansions and the scanner will not recognise it as a pack. If a pack does
not show up, check that level first — it is almost always the cause.
