DIODORUS Complete Expansion Bank

64 additional presets for DIODORUS — a general-purpose Essentials set, plus Trance (1999), Disco, Prog Rock (1970s) and Dance (1997) sounds. Every preset has the mod wheel set up for filter movement, and the sustained sounds also have wheel vibrato.

This bank is for the full version of DIODORUS. The free demo cannot import banks. To install it, save the file anywhere, then click Import in the DIODORUS preset browser and choose it — full steps are further down this page.

How To Install

You will need the full version of DIODORUS and the file Diodorus_Complete_Bank.vabank.

  1. Save Diodorus_Complete_Bank.vabank anywhere on your computer. You don’t need to put it in any particular folder.
  2. Open DIODORUS in your DAW.
  3. In the preset browser (the green LCD panel), click Import.
  4. Choose Diodorus_Complete_Bank.vabank and confirm.
  5. The status line will read “Imported 64 presets to Expansion”.

Using the bank

Finding the presets.

Use the category selector in the preset browser and choose Expansion, the last category in the list. Step through the 64 presets with the preset arrows. They run in this order:

Presets 1–12
Essentials
Presets 13–26
Trance 1999
Presets 27–40
Disco
Presets 41–54
Prog 1970s
Presets 55–64
Dance 1997

Expansion presets never overwrite the factory presets or your own User presets.

Good to know

  • The bank is kept for you. DIODORUS stores the imported presets in its own settings folder, so you only import once. They will be there the next time you open the plugin.
  • Importing more than once. Import only fills empty slots. If the status line reads “Expansion full”, or you have imported other banks before, click Clear in the browser to empty the Expansion area, then import again. Clear removes only the Expansion presets and leaves your User presets alone.
  • Capacity. The Expansion area holds up to 80 presets.
  • Saving your own versions. To keep a tweaked expansion preset, use Save to store it in one of your User slots.

Problems?

If the import doesn’t work.

If you see “Import failed: not a valid bank”, the file may be damaged or incomplete. Download it again and retry. If you are using the free demo, note that the demo cannot import banks — the full version of DIODORUS is required.
